For example:

If I have everyone doing squats for 60 seconds, you can either do 60 squats or 10 squats depending on your fitness level. So you set the level of intensity and I double check to make sure that you are at the level you should be. If I see you can handle more, I will push you and the same thing goes for if you are doing too much - I'll tell you to slow down.
